A “basics” oil painting workshop offered in conjunction with Foosaner Art
Museum’s exhibit, “The Red that Colored the World.” From beginner to more
accomplished, Douglas David will get you painting faster and more confidently.
Students will work in their own style/technique, exploring simple still lifes and
painting from photographs. Exhibition visits during lectures and breaks will help
to emphasize the classic principles and the color red. Plan to produce a few small
paintings and possibly one larger painting.
A recipient of numerous regional and national awards and honors, Douglas’
teaching is a way of giving back and sharing some of his journey with those who
